David has been with Ewald Consulting since August 1986. He was named vice president and managing partner of the firm in 1988 and became president and CEO in 1998. He has a master's degree in business administration from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota with a concentration in business, government and society, a discipline that involved extensive research and study of the impact of trade and professional associations on society. Ewald served as president of the Board of the Minnesota Government Relations Council in 1997. He served as president of the Midwest Society of Association Executives (MSAE) board in 2002-03 and is an active member of the American Society of Association Executives. He earned his CAE in 1994. |

Eric joined the company in 1994 and is a vice president and part owner of Ewald Consulting. Eric earned his B.A. in political science at the University of Minnesota and his MBA from the Carlson School of Management, where he was a double major in entrepreneurship and strategic management. He also completed a comprehensive program in nonprofit management at the University of St. Thomas. As part of his work at Ewald Consulting, Eric serves as an account executive to some of the company's association management clients. His duties include strategic planning, budgeting, membership and volunteer development, lobbying, and event planning.
For the past 10 years Eric has worked with the YMCA Youth In Government program as a volunteer advisor to the high school aged participants. In recent years he has served as the director of the Youth In Government lobbyist program and currently serves on the board of directors of the University Branch YMCA.

Bill joined Ewald Consulting Group in August 2004 following 15 years as business manager and publisher of the magazine group at Pillsbury and General Mills. Bill works with staff members to develop strategic plans for Ewald association clients. He also works on specific projects for Ewald clients that leverage his extensive background in publishing and communication. Bill has been involved with the Minnesota Magazine and Publications Association, an Ewald client, for the past 10 years including serving as president of the association.
Bill has a bachelor's degree in journalism from St. Thomas University. He also completed an intensive "mini MBA" course on business management at St. Thomas in 1996.

Shannon holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame, and graduated with a dual major in political science and sociology. Shannon is currently an account executive for three clients at Ewald Consulting. She has a broad base of work experience, which includes serving as the committee administrator for the Transportation and Transit Committee in the Minnesota House of Representatives and acting as a Family Services Specialist for the Head Start program. |

Paul joined Ewald Consulting in 2004. Previously, Paul worked in project management and implementation for various companies, nonprofits and government institutions including the Bretton Woods Committee, the Customer Relationship Management Unit of the International Trade Administration, and the Latin American Network Project of Casa de la Paz. He is experienced in monitoring and evaluation, strategic planning, and membership/sponsorship development. His writing on membership development and stakeholder analysis has been published in Associations Now magazine by the American Society of Association Executives and the Center for Association Leadership. Paul has a Master's degree in International Development from the American University and he has a double Bachelor's degree. In January 2008, he earned the designation of Certified Association Executive (CAE). |

Darrin joined Ewald Consulting in August 2005 as a membership intern and now works full time in the account executive department. He received his degree from the University of St. Thomas in 2006, studying business administration with a concentration in leadership and management. He played baseball at St. Thomas for four years and plans to continue to volunteer his time coaching youth sports. |

Andy joined the Ewald Consulting team in February of 2008, working in the Chicago office. He received his college degree in Public and Corporate Communication from Butler University in 2005. He has three years previous experience with an international organization in program development, strategic consulting, volunteer training, and project management. Andy is an avid skier and is certified by the Professional Ski Instructor of America. He also enjoys pursuing outdoor activities, soccer, and volunteering with his alma mater in his free time.

Mary Regan began her employment with Ewald Consulting in 1995. Mary is the executive director of the Minnesota Council of Child Caring Agencies, a statewide association of providers of treatment services for children and adolescents. She has more than 15 years of experience working with children and adolescents in residential treatment programs. As a former member and Board Chair of MCCCA, Mary brings direct knowledge of the field to her role with the Council. She provides lobbying, advocacy and the full range of association management services to MCCCA.
Mary is a graduate of the University of Illinois, Champaign/Urbana, with a master's degree in social work.

Brian Siverson-Hall began his employment with Ewald Consulting in 2004. Brian is the executive director of the Minnesota School Age Care Alliance, a statewide membership organization which promotes quality out-of-school time programs and supports the leadership and development of out-of-school time professionals. Prior to joining Ewald, Brian had worked in the out-of-school time field since 1991 with Wayzata Public Schools. He worked for four of those years serving children with special needs and then was the coordinator of the seven site after school program for the district serving 1,200 children and their families. Brian also is an adjunct instructor for the MNSCU system and independent training consultant. Brian brings his direct knowledge of the field to his role with MNSACA in providing professional development opportunities, public advocacy, and technical assistance.
Brian is a graduate of St. Mary's University, Minneapolis, with a master's degree in counseling and psychological services.

Bob Benke is president of Community Resource Partnerships, Inc., a policy research and advocacy firm. In this capacity, he serves as director of research and advocacy services for the North Metro Mayors Association, as project manager for the North Metro I-35W Corridor Coalition and technical advisor to the North Metro TH 10 Corridor Coalition. Bob is also a principle in Excensus LLC, a demographic data mapping and analysis company. Prior to joining CRP, Inc., Bob served at the Minnesota Department of Transportation for 35 years, finishing his tenure as director of the Office of Research & Strategic Services and as a member of the Commissioner's Executive Team. In addition to his professional career, Bob served 22 years as a member of the New Brighton City Council, including 14 years as mayor. During his "dual careers," Bob served in many leadership positions, including as president of the League of Minnesota Cities. Bob has received several awards from his peers in recognition of his service. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees in civil engineering from the University of Minnesota and has been a registered professional engineer in Minnesota since 1972. |

Becca joined Ewald Consulting in 2005 and is the Vice President of Public Affairs, overseeing the company’s lobbying and public affairs functions. She has 14 years of legislative experience as a staff person in the Minnesota House of Representatives and the Wisconsin State Assembly. In the Minnesota House, Becca worked as a communication specialist and committee administrator, and most recently served as the Director of Legislative Services overseeing a department that provides House members with policy and political analysis and research.
Becca graduated with a B.A in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Becca is an alumni member of the American Council of Young Political Leaders, a voting member of the Minnesota Government Relations Council, and new member of the Public Relations Society of America, Minnesota Chapter. Becca loves a good adventure – she has run six marathons, traveled around four continents and jumped out of one perfectly good airplane.

Valerie Dosland joined Ewald Consulting in January 2005 as a government affairs manager. Prior to joining Ewald Consulting, Valerie worked for eight years at the Minnesota House of Representatives as a research consultant specializing in the areas of early childhood and K-12 education. In that capacity, she assisted house members in policy and political analysis, research and legislative tracking. She has worked for a number of national organizations, such as the National Conference of State Legislatures, assisting with their government relations efforts.
Valerie is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a bachelor of arts degree in history.

Bill Amberg joined Ewald Consulting in January 2007 as a Government Affairs Consultant. Before joining Ewald Consulting, he served as an assistant to the Attorney General in the Health and Antitrust Division of the Minnesota Attorney General's Office, where he drafted health-related legislation, undertook numerous investigations, and represented the Minnesota Department of Health. Prior to that, Bill worked as the Director of Communications & Research for the Minnesota DFL Party for seven years.
Bill started his political career as a legislative aide to Congressman David Minge and went on to work for numerous political and legislative campaigns throughout the country, including Common Cause and the American Cancer Society. Bill has a Bachelor's degree from Minnesota State University-Mankato, a Master's Degree from the University of Notre Dame and a law degree from American University.

Kathie Pugaczewski is the vice president of operations and oversees the communications, events and member services departments. Kathie has more than 18 years of association management experience and joined Ewald Consulting in February 2005.
Kathie worked for the Builders Association of Minnesota (BAM) for 12 years and became the executive vice president in 1996. From 2001 to 2005, Kathie worked for the Midwest Society of Association Executives (MSAE).
She has a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis and completed the Institute for Organization Management at the University of Notre Dame. In December 2003, she earned her Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation.

Julie joined Ewald Consulting in March of 2000. As the department director, she leads and directs the daily operations of the Meeting and Events department. She oversees the strategy and planning of meetings and special events for various local, national and international organizations. These events consist of annual conferences, awards programs and training/networking seminars. By directing client-based committees in planning and implementing events, she manages and coordinates all aspects on-site, monitors and controls event budgets, and negotiates all necessary contracts.
Julie has 14 years experience in account management and marketing, with extensive time in managing and overseeing tradeshows within the U.S. and South America. She graduated from St. Cloud State University with a double bachelor’s degree in mass communications and speech communications. |

Scott re-joined the company in 2006 as the director of the Dorsey-Ewald Conference Center. Scott previously worked with Ewald Consulting from 1997 to 2003 as vice president of operations and as an account executive and lobbyist to some of the company's association management clients. Scott graduated with a degree in government from St. John's University in 1992. Scott has extensive experience in operations management, conference and association management. Scott also has a background in financial management and is a fully (not practicing) licensed securities and insurance broker. Scott's primary responsibilities include all Dorsey-Ewald Conference Center operations, marketing and sales. Scott also provides conference management assistance to the Ewald Consulting events department. |

Laurie joined Ewald Consulting in 1990 after working in a variety of association management positions. She earned her CAE in 1995. Her position as managing editor involves editing and proofing all client publications; providing layout services for newsletters and brochures; and coordinating the efforts of Ewald Consulting's marketing team. She also serves as executive director for the Minnesota Association of Mental Health Residential Facilities. She is an active member of the Midwest Society of Association Executives and the American Society of Association Executives. Laurie earned a B.A. in broadcast journalism from the University of Minnesota. She serves as an Adult Interpretive Volunteer at the Minnesota Zoological Garden and as a member of the Minnesota 4-H Foundation Board of Trustees (Board chair, 2005-07). She received the WCCO-AM Radio Good Neighbor award in 1998 in recognition of her volunteer work at the Minnesota Zoo. |

Jane has 29 years of experience ranging in the areas of administrative support, technical support, lab technician, customer service, marketing support and editing. She is part of the Ewald Consulting member service team.
Jane has college coursework in marketing, business, education and journalism from the University of Central Oklahoma, Inver Hills Community College and Metro State University. Jane is continuing work on a B.S. in marketing.
