David Ewald, President and CEO of Ewald Consulting, today announced the addition of a game-changing talent to the company staff. Suzanne Murphy will be joining the Ewald Consulting team in early 2018 to lead the company’s Events and Professional Development departments.

Murphy brings more than two decades of corporate learning and organization development experience to Ewald Consulting. Her history of leading employee-focused education spans a variety of industries including retail, healthcare, technology and financial services. Most recently, she served as a leader in the talent development function for Andersen Windows Corporation.

“Suzanne is no stranger to Ewald Consulting. She is known by many of us as a former client, and as a current friend,” said David Ewald. “Suzanne understands our business and our company culture, she brings a positive and collaborative attitude, and we know she will be a difference-maker for our company and for our clients.”

Murphy’s knowledge and experience in the association management space is that of a member and volunteer. She served on the Board of Directors of the Association for Talent Development – Greater Twin Cities chapter in the mid-2000s. Thinking back on that first experience with Ewald Consulting, Murphy noted the fact that nearly all of the staff she has worked with over the years are still employed there, which says something about longevity, loyalty and experience.

“I once said to David, ‘If I ever leave my current position, it’s because I’m coming to work for Ewald.’ It was a little flip comment, but you tuck those things in the back of your mind,” said Murphy, who holds a Bachelor’s in Interpersonal Communication from Ohio University and Master’s in Human Resource Development from the University of St. Thomas. “This organization is dedicated to its employees. It has a culture of family and employee first, they work hard, they’re focused on the customer, they care about their people, and they have fun. So this is an exciting challenge.”

Murphy is Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and InsideOut Coaching certified. Her official start date with Ewald consulting is Jan. 8, and she can be reached at
