Griffin brings decades of experience to government relations practice

ST. PAUL, Minn., December 13 --- David Ewald, President and CEO of Ewald Consulting, announced today that Phil Griffin will be joining Ewald’s Government Relations team, bringing along years of experience and an impressive portfolio of clients.

Griffin has spent most of his career in public policy, having worked in the executive and legislative branches of Minnesota state government, and as a government relations professional providing state and federal lobbying and regulatory consulting.

“I’ve known Phil for years and have always admired his approach to solving public policy problems through government relations solutions, and I’m excited we were able to team up to benefit our clients,” said David Ewald. “Phil is a well-respected and highly-sought after lobbyist. I know he will help us in meeting our company’s mission of working at the intersection of business, government and society to improve professions and industries.”

Griffin has been instrumental in health insurance and health care reform efforts over the years, and has a deep understanding of the issues in the health and human services policy arena, having previously worked for the Minnesota Medical Association and PreferredOne, and lobbying on behalf of a variety of clients as the owner of Griffin Government Consulting.

“I have known and worked with David Ewald and his team on a number of issues over the years. I look forward to working with them to serve my current clients and future clients,” said Griffin.

Griffin will officially start with Ewald Consulting on January 1, 2019.
