Special Session IV

On Friday, Sept. 11, the governor called the Legislature into special session so he could renew his peacetime emergency powers, which expire every 30 days.

Both the House and Senate once again debated the governor’s use of peacetime emergency powers. A Senate resolution to revoke those powers passed, but it was not taken up in the House.
