Eric joined Ewald Consulting in 1994 and is a partner with the firm. He also serves as the General Manager of Ewald Consulting’s Chicago office. He earned his M.B.A. from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, where he was a double major in Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management. Eric provides strategic leadership for several Ewald Consulting clients. Eric is Ewald Consulting’s lead facilitator for governance workshops and strategic planning engagements. His experience over 20 years includes governance, strategic planning, budgeting, membership and government relations. Eric is a BoardSource Certified Governance Trainer. He served as Chair of the Midwest Society of Association Executives (MSAE) board in 2011-2012 and is an active member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). He earned his Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation in 1999.

Darrin joined Ewald Consulting in 2005. He has a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, with a concentration in Leadership and Management. During his time with Ewald Consulting, Darrin has played a key role in the management of several associations. He is experienced in project management, membership analysis, social media applications and developing creative marketing solutions. Darrin earned his Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation in 2010.

Lee Helgen

Lee has extensive experience with association and nonprofit management, public policy development, and community engagement. Previously, he worked for two statewide associations and served on multiple nonprofit and governmental boards and commissions. Having served as Saint Paul City Council for eight years, Lee brings a valuable perspective on mobilizing community support. Given his broad-base of experience, he is well-positioned to help organizations see the big picture and develop action plans for accomplishing their goals.

Gigi Jaber

Gigi joined Ewald Consulting in 2014. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and has extensive experience as an executive assistant to senior level executives working on various projects. Gigi has previously worked with non-profit organizations and loves being able to contribute her strengths and skills to helping such organizations grow their business. She had the opportunity to live abroad in the West Bank and calls it a wonderful experience. Gigi is fluent in Arabic and Hebrew. She does a great deal of volunteer work with organizations that focus on bringing peace to the Middle East and absolutely loves devoting her spare time to that.

Laurie joined Ewald Consulting in 2004 and has more than 15 years of experience in association management. Laurie has a broad range of knowledge in associations, including board governance; volunteer development; membership recruitment and retention; and meeting and special event planning. Prior to joining Ewald Consulting, she served as Member Services Director for a large state trade association. She is a graduate of the University of Colorado, Boulder. Laurie earned the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation in 2008.

Katie Wallstein

She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Superior with a degree in communications emphasizing mass media. Previously Katie was a member of the school newspaper staff at UWS, and also worked for a professional public relations firm in London, England during the summer of 2013.

Arzu joined Ewald Consulting in 2016 as a specialist in the membership department. In 2018, she joined the Account Executive team and is also involved with the Data Management and Project Management teams at Ewald. She pursued her B.A. in International Relations and Political Science at the University of Minnesota and graduated in May 2016. She was very involved in Delta Gamma Fraternity serving as Vice President Finance and Director of Funds. She also spent a summer in London, UK working for Civil Service College, a company that is devoted to training and development for the public sector and civil servants.

She serves on the Growth and Professional Development Team and brings mediation experience on a variety of consumer issues from her time working for the Minnesota Attorney General's Office. Her experience as a member of the Association Management Department ranges from STEM focused non-profit support to serving as an advisor to state-based professional associations. Siri holds a B.A. in Political Science from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN.

Margaux joined Ewald Consulting in 2018 with the Association Management team. She serves on the technology management team and brings high-level experience from the legal field and from one of the state's largest nonprofit organizations. Outside of work, Margaux volunteers as a tutor for adults pursuing their GED through the Minnesota Literacy Council and at the Wildlife Rescue Center. She is a graduate of Truman State University with a degree in political science.

Dale has more than 15 years of association management experience and joined Ewald Consulting in 2016. Previously, Dale worked for the International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI) in a variety of capacities for a little more than 10 years including membership development, communications, marketing, advertising sales and chapter relations. From 2000 to 2005, Dale worked for the Mechanical Contractors Association of Chicago (MCA) as Marketing & Communications Manager. Dale has a B.A. in communications/journalism from Loyola University of Chicago and earned the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation in 2013.

Jill joins North Metro Mayors with an extensive background in strategic communications. She has worked with all levels of government, including a stint as communications director under Gov. Arne Carlson for the MN Department of Human Services, one of the state’s largest agencies. She has worked in the North Metro for 30 years and has run a public relations consulting business for more than 20 years. Her clients work collaboratively to pursue transportation, environmental and human services initiatives. Jill says the best part of her projects is working with game changers—the folks who are dedicated to strengthening the community. Jill is a volunteer board member for TPC ROSE and Anoka County Community Action Program. In her spare time, she sings with Kantorei, a semiprofessional choir, and serves as president of Vox Nova, a new choral group in the Twin Cities. She’s a proud mom of three girls and married to Anoka County Attorney Tony Palumbo.

Brent began working with the Minnesota Telecom Alliance (MTA) in volunteer capacities, including chairing the Legislative Committee, Board of Directors and Executive Committee. In 2010, Brent joined the staff of the MTA as President/CEO. He is dedicated to advocating for the telecommunications industry and rural Minnesota, doing so through legislative, media, and community involvement. Educating the membership and the public about key issues is a top priority. In addition to his work with MTA, Brent serves on the Madelia (Minnesota) Public School Board.

Stephanie serves the members of MUCA by ensuring the association’s strategic direction, finances and operations adhere to its mission of promoting the industry through safety and, educational programs, scholarships, and advancing legislative priorities. Prior to MUCA, Stephanie was with the Midwest ENERGY Association for 17 years in a variety of positions; the last as Vice President, Gas Services since 2006. She is the pioneer/founder (2007) of Energetic Women, a national organization for women in natural gas and electric utilities, whose mission is to increase the pool of promotable women in energy operations and engineering. She is passionate about the utility industry and about serving women in non-traditional roles in male-dominated industries. Stephanie is recognized as an expert resource on leadership. John Magnuson currently serves as the Executive Director for MARRCH - Minnesota Association of Resources for Recovery and Chemical Health. John has decades of experience in the areas of prevention, treatment and recovery. Prior to MARRCH, John worked with The Retreat (a non-clinical, mutual help approach to the problem of alcohol and drug dependency) and served as a consultant to AiR Healthcare Solutions (an integrated behavioral health care management company). While living in Washington DC, John served as Vice President of the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (NCADD) and the Vice President of Legislative Affairs for the National Home Infusion Association (NHIA).
