Association Management Success Stories

We've got what it takes!

Our Association Management Department has extensive experience assisting associations to develop a strong team of volunteer leaders. Read about our successes below:

  • AFLA Sponsorship Development
In 2008, the Automotive Fleet & Leasing Association (AFLA) was faced with an industry in crisis and its highest-level sponsors were struggling to justify the size of their investment in a conference that only gave them exposure once a year. To provide sponsors with increased benefit year-round, the association partnered with Ewald Consulting to expand its conference sponsorship program and provide exposure for sponsors all year long.

  • AHRD Conference Revitalization
The Academy of Human Resource Development (AHRD) began partnering with Ewald Consulting for association management services in 2010. Members consistently rate the AHRD International Conference in the Americas as an invaluable forum for networking and professional development.

  • ASTD – Twin Cities Chapter Newsletter Redesign
The Ewald Consulting design team worked with the ASTD-TCC Communications Committee to redesign the SPECTRUM e-newsletter. A fresh look and feel were developed and a regular editorial calendar was established to add thematic sections to the publication.

  • Certification Program Management
Ewald Consulting serves a variety of clients with certification program support. Each has a different need and therefore slightly different support services are provided.

  • INDATEL Chapters & Regional Groups
In 2009 a data and telecom association called the “INDATEL Group” was looking for an easy-to-use online tool for new members to find and connect with the state chapter or regional group in their area. Chapter/Regional Group participation was strong with long-time members, but those new to the association were not connecting at the local level. To address this issue, the INDATEL Group partnered with Ewald Consulting to seek feedback from newer members and increase their participation in Chapters and Regional Groups.

  • MARRCH Annual Conference – From Good to Great
Alcohol and Drug counselors are required to earn continuing education credits to maintain their licenses to practice. The three-day MARRCH conference provides 21 clock hours of credits allowing counselors to achieve nearly all the credits they need annually in a single week. Other organizations offering educational credits at conferences also are an option for the 1,500 counselors in the state. The challenge: how to make MARRCH the preferred conference for counselors.

  • Surfaces in Biomaterials Foundation Webinar Series
In 2012, the Surfaces and Biomaterials Foundation sought to reinforce year-round value for its members. Its annual conference had grown significantly in recent years, expanding interest in the Foundation that resulted in a surge of new members. The Foundation’s leaders knew these new members would expect year-round value – more than access to a member directory and semi-annual professional journals. The Foundation decided to create a monthly online learning series termed Beneath the Surface.
