Ewald Consulting welcomes Danial Davis as a Professional Development Specialist

Ewald Consulting is happy to announce the addition of Danial Davis to their growing Professional Development team as a Professional Development Specialist. Davis joins Ewald Consulting with 10 years of experience as an educator at Highview Middle School alongside serving as a Covid Subcommittee Group Member where he worked with fellow educators across the District to identify and address significant curricular and instructional challenges facing our educators due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  

Danial has a Bachelor’s in English from Saint Olaf College and is beginning his Master’s in Education in January 2023. He has a passion for continuing education, regardless of age or experience and has experience as a Professional Learning Community Leader where he worked to improve educational instruction and increase student achievement. 

“Danial’s experience in curriculum development is a valuable skill as industries continue to create new training for their workforce to reflect remote work. We are excited to have him join our team!” said Director of Professional Development, Julia Renner. 

As a Professional Development Specialist, Danial is a key part of the success of the Ewald Events and Professional Development team. Alongside conducting Professional Development assessments, he will be handling continuing education credits, certification and certificate programs, learning management systems, mentoring programs, in-person seminars, program accreditation and more for our clients. 

Ewald Consulting announces Jill Tichy, CMP, as Director of Event Management

Ewald Consulting is proud to announce the promotion of Jill Tichy, CMP, to the role of Director of Event Management. Jill joined Ewald Consulting in 2018 after serving in a Senior Director of Events role for a 20+ staff, global association. In her tenure with the company, Jill has demonstrated her expert-level knowledge and skill in event management through years of practice assisting associations in creating must-attend event experiences. She is a collaborative leader with a positive attitude and drive for continuous improvement as the world of event management continues to evolve. 

In her role as Director of Event Management, Jill will lead and mentor others on the event management team and serve a critical role on Ewald Consulting’s Leadership Team. “I’m thrilled to have Jill at the table during conversations that will shape how we create stand-out events with our clients,” says Kathie Pugaczewski, Vice President of Operations for Ewald Consulting, “Jill’s passion and proven record of strong results will help our clients thrive through successful event management.”  

Jill holds the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) credential from the Events Industry Council. She earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing & management information systems from Augsburg University in Minneapolis, Minnesota and coaches the school’s women’s basketball.

Ewald Consulting welcomes Veronica Crosier to Association Management Team

 Ewald Consulting is proud to announce the addition of Veronica Crosier to their Association Management team as an Account Executive. Veronica joins Ewald Consulting after serving in leadership positions with several volunteer organizations.  

Most recently, Veronica served as the Workplace Wellness Director at Active Southern West Virginia, where she was a consultant for 20+ businesses. She developed workplace wellness action plans, program evaluations and resources. In addition, she was responsible for securing funding as the primary writer and administrator for a five-year grant. Prior to her time with Active Southern WV, she served as Development Coordinator for New River Gorge Learning Co-op.  

“Veronica comes with experience working with volunteers and leading multiple programs.  Having family connections in portable sanitation has allowed her to step in and understand the business and culture of the organization. She has a positive energy that people are naturally drawn to,” said Darrin Hubbard, CAE, Vice President of Association Management.  

Veronica will serve as the Executive Director for the Portable Sanitation Association International (PSAI). She will be responsible for overall management for PSAI, which includes providing support to volunteer leaders and staff, and oversight and project management to coordinate the related client activities, events, finance, marketing, membership, information technology and communications.  

Ewald Consulting Welcomes Taylor Bryant to Events Management Team

Ewald Consulting is pleased to welcome Taylor Bryant, a recent graduate from Iowa State University, to their Events Management Team as an Event Coordinator. Taylor graduated with a Bachelor’s in Event Management and has a passion for her work. 

During college, Taylor served as an Event Assistant for Hire a Host and a Sales & Event Intern for Hyland Hils Chalet. In these roles, she served as the Lead Event Assistant for 25 events and managed four social media platforms. At her most recent role as a Day Coordinator for Hyland Hills Chalet, she created all literature and templates for clients. 

“We are excited to add Taylor to our Events Team,” said Vicki Thein, CMP, CMM, Director of Events. “Taylor has been leveraging her degree in event management and skills to successfully jump into her client work and has brought her enthusiasm for events to the team.”   

As an Event Coordinator, Taylor plays a big part in the Events Team’s success. She will be primarily providing support to our Event Managers and their clients. This includes work with sponsors and speakers and the management of small-scale events. 

Ewald Consulting welcomes Summer Weber to Marketing Communications Team

Ewald Consulting is excited to announce the addition of Summer Weber to their Marketing Communications Team as a Communications Specialist. Summer graduated from Stephens College (Columbia, MO) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2016. She joins the Ewald Consulting team with 6 years of experience in graphic design and creative execution.  

After graduating, Summer served in a variety of roles including Textile CAD Designer for TJX Companies, Graphic Designer for A La Carte Creative Group and Production Artist for Five Star Professional. Recently, Summer served as the Personnel Manager for Gateway Unlimited Living. Here, she was responsible for marketing and designing their brand, in addition to building and managing their website. 

“We are thrilled to have Summer join our Marketing and Communications team! Her experience and design skills fit perfectly with our company goal to deliver high-end results for our clients,” said Anna Wrisky.  

As a Communications Specialist, Summer is an integral part of the Ewald Marketing Communications team. She will be working on the design/UX team on magazines, print communications, websites, email communications, UX and graphic design. 

Ewald Consulting welcomes Easton Smiskey to Marketing Communications Team

Ewald Consulting is excited announce the addition of Easton Smiskey to their Marketing Communications Team as a Communications Specialist. Easton recently graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor’s in Professional Journalism and joins the Ewald team with 3 years of experience in content creation and storytelling. 

 

While earning her degree, Easton served in a variety of roles including as a Sports Writer for the Mankato Free Press, a Broadcast Intern for WEAU 13 News and a Broadcast Intern for Kare11 News. Recently, Easton served as the Sports News Assistant for Star Tribune where she was responsible for performing background research, monitoring social channels, editing content and coordinating large recognition events.  

 

“Easton brings a lot of energy to our department, and her experience in journalism and marketing will assist our department with content development strategies for our clients” said Anna Wrisky, Director of Design and Usability “We are excited to have her join our team!“ 

 

As a Communications Specialist, Easton is a key part of the success of the Ewald Marketing Communications team. She will be primarily working with clients on their website and marketing communications work and will assist with writing and researching content.  

Arzu Alimohd & Katie Wallstein Earn Certified Association Executive Credential

St. Paul, Minnesota, June 28, 2021 — Ewald Consulting is proud to announce that Arzu Alimohd and Katie Wallstein have earned the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation. The CAE is the highest professional credential in the association industry.

To be designated as a Certified Association Executive, an applicant must have experience with nonprofit organization management, complete a minimum of 100 hours of specialized professional development, pass a stringent examination in association management and pledge to uphold a code of ethics. To maintain the certification, individuals must undertake ongoing professional development and activities in association and nonprofit management. More than 4,700 association professionals currently hold the CAE credential. The CAE Program is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA).

Arzu and Katie join eight other staff members within the company who have earned the CAE.
